I have been looking for a long time for moist heat for my eyes and I can say this is the best. It has really done wonders for my dry eyes.

This eye pillow is wonderful. It provides long-lasting, moist heat that really soothes the eyes. I use it when I listen to my guided meditations for deeper relaxation and to block out light (which often distracts me). I also use it to help clear clogged tear ducts that cause chronic dry eyes, as recommended by my eye doctor.
I have one warning and one minor complaint. The warning: be careful not to over heat this pillow in the microwave. It can get VERY HOT and stay that way for several minutes. 40 seconds works well in my microwave, but all microwaves differ. Just test it on your arm before you put in on the delicate skin around your eyes. The complaint: I really think this product should come with an equally soft but removable and washable cover. It has no cover and cannot be washed. I sew, so I made a cover out of flannel. But for the less crafty, this eye pillow could get dirty quickly and I’m not sure how to clean it.
All in all, it’s a great pillow and I use it several times a week.

I bought this product after reading a previous review recommending this mask for dry eye. My eye doc recommended applying heat 4 times a day to help unclog the oil producing glands in my eyelids. This mask seems to work better than conventional buckwheat pillows, and certainly better than a warm washcloth. The only drawback is my husbands’s complaint, who says it smells like pizza! I would buy it again.

I just purchased one of these, put it into the microwave, got all set for a relaxing experience! That would only happen for you, however, IF YOU COULD STAND THE SMELL! No fragrance of eucalyptus or any other herb! My husband agreed with me, we could smell the odor of damp and mold or something. It was hard to identify. You can make your own eye wrap by putting some new clean rice (use white, not brown … because of the bacteria on brown rice) into a cotton sock and tying up the end of it. This thing, however, is a rip off. … Oh, I forgot to mention that this little pillow is misshapen and poorly constructed. It’s a piece of terry cloth cut roughly into the shape shown in the photo, except it is lopsided and uneven, with some rice dumped into it. Make your own.
